As a Chapter Lead - Copilot Studio/Enterprise Search and Viva, you will be a crucial player in driving our digital initiatives forward in our agile organization. Our agile operating model consists of two components – Digital Capability and Digital Execution. As a Chapter Lead, you will design, develop, deploy, and monitor and provide technical leadership for Copilot Studio, Enterprise Search and Viva solutions in our organization. This role involves a blend of technical expertise, business acumen, and a deep understanding of Microsoft tools. You will create new applications as well as help delivery teams and users. You will use your knowledge and expertise to stay ahead in evolving Microsoft tool ecosystem. You will provide technical support, and resolve issues with external agencies and teams, business users and software vendors. You’ll also monitor performance and drive continuous improvement. Responsibilities:
Provide technical leadership for the team of Copilot Studio, Enterprise Search and Viva Communications (Engage, Amplify, and Connections) developers. Provide guidance, mentorship, and code reviews, fostering developers’ growth and ensuring high-quality deliverables.
Lead development and own end-to-end advanced enterprise search solutions using Microsoft Search, SharePoint Online Search, Azure Cognitive Search, and Microsoft Graph, ensuring scalability, relevance, and performance, with a focus on aligning with the organization’s Microsoft Enterprise Search direction.
Configure and customize SharePoint Online search components (e.g., search schemas, managed properties, query rules) and integrate Microsoft Search connectors to enhance content discoverability and user productivity.
Build and integrate sophisticated search applications using Azure Cognitive Search for AI-driven capabilities (e.g., NLP, entity recognition), Microsoft Graph for M365 data retrieval, and custom APIs for external system integration.
Provide expert-level technical support for Copilot Studio, Enterprise Search, Viva, resolving issues with business users, delivery teams, external agencies, and vendors, applying broader platform knowledge were beneficial.
Drive tool adoption by evangelizing Microsoft search, Copilot Studio and Viva capabilities, conducting training sessions, and mentoring power users and team members on leveraging search features effectively.
Multitask effectively across multiple projects and teams, managing competing priorities and delivering high-quality outcomes in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Increase tools’ adoption through conducting training sessions.
Performance Monitoring and Optimization: Regularly monitor performance of applications, simplify administrative activities, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations to improve efficiency and user experience.
Security & Compliance: Ensure the applications are secure, compliant, and projects adhere to SLC best practices, including managing identity and access and securing data. Generate and maintain related documentation as needed.
Data Reporting: work with related reporting platforms to summarize data maintained in the system.
Initiative Execution: Actively participate in and contribute to various initiatives, applying your specialized skills to achieve the objectives and expected Value. Contribute to the ongoing realization of Value from these enterprise platforms through continuous integration and deployment.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in relevant field, e.g., Computer Science, Data Science
7+ years of progressive engineering experience in designing and configuring enterprise search solutions, with a strong focus on Microsoft Search, SharePoint Online Search, and Azure Cognitive Search.
Experience with Copilot Studio and Viva Communications (Engage, Amplify, and Connections).
Demonstrated experience leading a team of Microsoft Developers.
Proven ability to perform business analyses, working directly with stakeholders to define and deliver search-focused technical solutions within the Microsoft ecosystem.
Proficiency in Microsoft search development and configuration, including Microsoft Graph APIs, Azure Cognitive Search skillsets, SharePoint Search Service Application, and custom ranking models.
Comprehensive working knowledge of related Microsoft technologies: PowerShell for automation, Azure Functions, Azure Logic Apps, REST APIs, and integration with M365 services (e.g., Teams, Exchange).
Scripting expertise in PowerShell, with familiarity in C#, JavaScript, or Python for search customizations.
Strong understanding of relational databases, SQL, and data indexing strategies for structured and unstructured content within Microsoft platforms.
Experience with Agile and DevOps methodologies, including Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipelines and version control in Microsoft search deployments.
Advanced problem-solving capabilities to troubleshoot and resolve issues across Microsoft search applications, infrastructure, and deployment pipelines.
Exceptional collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with development teams, business users, vendors, and external agencies.
Excellent communication skills, both solid written and verbal Japanese and English, and cultural adaptability to collaborate efficiently with technical teams across Japan, Europe and US.
Agile and adaptable to changing environments and project scopes, with a commitment to continuous learning
Preferred Qualifications:
Microsoft Certified: Microsoft 365 Enterprise Administrator Expert, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure AI Engineer Associate, Power Platform Functional Consultant (for integration with Power Apps/Search).
Experience in leading teams and managing stakeholder relationships in a technology-driven environment.
