Astellas is announcing a Patient Centricity Strategy & Integration Fellowship opportunity in Northbrook, IL or Remote in United States.

Purpose & Scope:

The Patient Centricity Strategy and Integration Fellow's primary responsibility will be to support global projects related to ensuring a culture of patient centricity at Astellas and enhancing awareness of Astellas as a patient-centric company. More specifically, responsibilities may include developing presentations / communications materials, interacting with consulting partners, project / status tracking and measuring / reporting project impact. The Fellow should be entrepreneurial and self-starting with a global orientation, and will have the opportunity to gain exposure to many divisions within Astellas and an understanding of the pharmaceutical / healthcare industry in the United States and beyond. Educational background and interest in management consulting, particularly change management and communications, is preferred. This is a 1-year fixed contract Fellowship with the potential for renewal.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Culture: Supports development and delivery of multi-year global patient-centric culture initiatives including workshops, training, and rewards/recognition programs
  • Communications: Supports efforts to articulate a compelling narrative of Patient-centricity for Astellas; creates materials for internal and external communications activities including presentations, white papers, and social media content; collaborates with internal communications colleagues and external communications consultants and creative partners
  • Strategy: Supports measurement and reporting activities that demonstrate value of patient-focused medicine development and delivery to Astellas aligned with Division and Corporate strategy
  • Integration: Participates in and creates materials for cross-divisional meetings; tracks and reports integration progress
  • Operations: Assists with oversight of impact measurement, reporting and administrative activities for the Division, as necessary

Organizational Context:

  • Position reports to the Head of Patient Centricity Strategy and Integration
  • Frequently interacts with Patient Centricity leadership team, division staff and other Astellas colleagues worldwide



  • Fast (extremely fast) learner, proactive, flexible
  • University undergraduate degree and MBA
  • Previous work experience in management consulting, strategy or healthcare project management, internal culture/communications and/or change management preferred
  • Ability to translate high volumes of ambiguous or conflicting information into crisp and actionable insights
  • Foresight and creativity in anticipating and resolving complex project and team issues
  • Outstanding strategic thinking, analytical, and project management skills
  • Exemplary interpersonal, negotiation, relationship management and presentation skills

Salary Range

$60,800 -- $81,000(
