Purpose and Scope:

This role is a member of the Information Systems Commercial IS Program -- Commercial and Medical Transformation team supporting global business units in partnership with global Omnichannel Operations team and is responsible for building and maintaining relationships across business and IS teams to advance and enable the successful business adoption of the newly introduced Adobe Experience Cloud platform. The role is responsible for managing the Adobe Experience Cloud platform, developing application roadmaps to support business needs, managing demand, overseeing project implementations, tracking benefits realization, and working with the operational teams to ensure system security, availability and stability of the platform.

The role provides highly valued strategic consulting level support to enable Adobe platform capabilities to deliver brand tactical needs through key digital initiatives. The role communicates decisions, priorities, and relevant project information to appropriate levels of staff regarding business unit requests and projects and initiatives. The role proactively shares knowledge of technology risks and opportunities to build competitive advantage and improve efficiency and effectiveness of digital tactics.

Essential job Responsibilities

  • Adobe Experience Cloud Subject Matter Expert (SME). Leads efforts to socialize application information. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies and/or relevant conferences.

  • Develops application roadmaps to support business requirements. Contributes to global Digital and IS strategy development that aligns with business and brand strategy. Participates in project prioritization with business teams to optimize resource allocation.

  • Responsible for managing or monitoring application global project delivery, leveraging established PMO methodologies. Proposes projects, provides updates and advocacy to IS and business stakeholders.

  • Manage Pharma business application(s) on Adobe Experience Cloud by:

  • Translating Business and brand tactics to Digital solutions

  • Utilize personal and IS collective knowledge and documented business requirements to design, propose and implement secure solutions and services to meet customer needs while protecting Astellas assets.

  • Develop and enforce release management strategy and development standards and provide architectural oversight

  • Balancing demand for enhancements and changes with available resources.

  • Proactively monitor and resolve application(s) issues, data, and data load issues.

  • Identify, establish, and work with managed service providers, application publishers and data providers to ensure high data quality and reliable systems performance.

  • Establishing and validating high quality support and reliability.

  • Operational monitoring and improvements including back up strategy, Disaster Recovery and archiving.

  • Manage IT staff by recruiting, training and coaching employees, communicating job expectations and appraising their performance.

  • Accomplishes financial objectives by determining application service level required; assisting in preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective action.

  • Selects and manages vendors, contractors and/or managed service teams to deliver contracted services and meet service expectations.

  • Meets regularly with BU team leads on:

  • Application performance and new requirements

  • Project priorities and status

  • Systems support performance and key issues - IS services, including infrastructure, vendor management, application performance, etc.

  • Application growth projections and capacity planning

  • Ensures that established IT governance methodology, standards, and practices are followed by employees, contract resources and third-party partners.

Quantitative Dimensions:

  • Manages capital and expense budgets up to $5MUSD.

  • Manages a portfolio of projects related to an application and publishes a three-year roadmap.

  • 1 to 10 employees, 1 to 40 temp/contractors

Organizational Context:

  • This role reports to an Associate Director role in a Global IS Organization.

  • This role may provide direction to a managed service provider, temporary labor or consultant team as well as 0 - 40 employees

  • This role aligns with application stakeholders, IS stakeholders and third-party liaisons.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Business, Marketing, or equivalent experience required.

  • Minimum 5 years digital delivery experience of related responsibility required, with demonstrated progress in managing projects/applications of increasing size and complexity.

  • 5 years' experience and strong understanding Adobe Marketing Cloud and it's functions, related data sets, integration methodology and support approaches.

  • Understands the industry landscape for this application and tools to establish and measure KPIs and benchmarks.

  • 5 years' experience managing employees, vendors and/or managed service providers.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills required, with ability to interact with application owners and users. Must be able to translate between technical requirements and business requirements to effectively achieve results.

  • Ability to adapt and respond effectively to change, delay and or shifting priorities and goals.

  • Self-directed with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and to aggressively drive project milestones to successful completion
