Purpose and Scope:

  • Systems Owner for US Commercial Data Operations and Management, Analytics & ETL data capabilities as part of a wider global Data & Analytics team within the Information Systems (IS) division of Commercial and Corporate Partner group

  • Lead the US Data and Analytics team within IS group, managing internal/contract and outsourced managed services resources

  • Work closely with business and IS stakeholders to ensure efficient and optimal utilization of the overall US CRM BI Global Commercial Data & Analytics environment.

  • Evaluate data sources and take remedial action to enable consistent data reporting in the Data & Analytics environment and across all end-to-end reporting solutions that align with Commercial applications and solutions.

  • Work closely with business and IS stakeholders to ensure the Data Management framework is introduced and Data Management principles are adopted to improve areas such as Data Access, Data Security, Data Quality, and Data Integrity.

  • Provide subject matter expertise input to initiate the Astellas Data Governance Framework and Data Management education program and to support this once it is implemented.

  • Ensure consistent data quality across all commercial platforms and applications, to ensure alignment of projects using these technologies as their data source systems.

  • Collaborate with business and IS stakeholders and our vendor partners to shape the future of the US and global Data & Analytics & ETL landscape

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Support Global, US Regional, HQ and the Affiliate Business Intelligence Leads to get the most from BI, Data & Analytics

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills working with a diverse range of stakeholders at all levels of the organisation

  • Manage and develop the technical solutions to ensure design integrity & flexibility

  • Align and implement Data Governance in accordance with Astellas procedures and processes

  • Promote standards and policies for data management to include, but not limited to: Data Profiling, Data Management Reporting, Master Data Management

  • Defining projects to build, deliver and manage solutions to meet business requirements

  • Provide global ownership regarding integration tool sets (Talend), workflows, and data

  • Promote single source of the truth for key data elements

  • Align to the Global governance and maintenance model

  • Define the appropriate governance structures and supporting assets in data maintenance and management

  • Ensure high levels of referential and data integrity across appropriate systems

  • Ensure high levels of data quality across the Commercial Applications platforms.

  • Educate staff in the concepts/ best practices of Data Management and Governance.

  • Provide expert support to BAU team to: Investigate data issues, Define resolution of data issues, Test fixes for data issues, Continuous Improvement direction and guidance

  • Enabling Business Users, Business Administrators & BRMs to leverage Commercial Data & Analytics solutions using best practices

  • Leverage global reporting tools (Qlik Sense) to provide standard reporting to global and US regional teams.

  • Work with CRM Apps Manager on improvements and optimizations

  • Support Astellas project teams and Business leads to get the best results from their data.

  • Guide business teams towards areas of improvement which increase business value and reduce cost

  • Investigate opportunities for BI Data & Analytics optimizations/ innovations and co-ordinate with Astellas stakeholders and user community

  • Advise on Best Practice for all data requirements across the lifecycle of systems.

  • Other such duties as may be reasonably required by the business.

Qualifications Required:

  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree

  • 5-10 years' experience in a similar role

  • BI. dashboards and reporting, Qlik knowledge

  • Data Management and Strategy, Cloud based AWS experience

  • Master Data Management (MDM) experience

  • Extract, Transform and Load (ETL), Talend knowledge

  • People Management & strong team leadership
