Purpose:
Ensure timely and accurate delivery of data to all internal and external US commercial stakeholders, including support, maintenance and ownership of Data Warehouse, standard reports and ad-hoc environments. Develop and leverage automated, standard quality control processes to improve the accuracy and efficiency of data processes and procedures. Serve as the primary point of contact for escalating and resolving data issues. Act as team lead for Data Management and Quality.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
Lead data quality initiatives, develop data integrity controls to ensure variances/exceptions are communicated to M&S leadership. Automate controls for all commercial data feeds, ensure all exceptions to the business rules are investigated and resolved prior to data reporting and reporting timeline is met.
Lead third-party data vendor discussions, including but not limited to Symphony Health, SP/GPO Data aggregator etc. and help with pull through at the team level.
Responsible for spearheading communications on any data related issues to key stakeholders.
Ownership of maintenance and processing of US commercial data for all of the therapeutic areas. Act as the business owner of Commercial Data Warehouse, bridge between business and technology and act as single point of contact with IS team
Manage field and home office reporting application, own day to day operations and help setting up vision and roadmap for the applications based on evolving business needs.
Produce ad hoc analyses for Operations teams as requested, communicate outcomes, and make recommendations based on findings.
Take the lead on identifying potential data redundancies and data flow issues; provide recommendations on potential solutions and execute when necessary, in order to streamline Data Enablement processes.
Work very closely with the internal IS partners and external partners to build data integration solutions for bringing syndicated data (e.g., IQVIA, Symphony, MMIT) and specialty data (e.g., Specialty Pharmacy, GPO, Hub) in Commercial Data Warehouse and build robust BI solutions for field sales and home office users for existing and launch products.
Quantitative Dimensions:
Validate Data for Sales Reporting and Incentive Compensation from Commercial Data Warehouse. Deliver data feeds on or before scheduled date and error free.
Work with IS and data vendors to continuously improve accuracy and transparency for monthly/quarterly sales data feeds for compensation and goal purposes.
Maintain current business rule applications, update when necessary and communicate to appropriate parties that utilize the data.
Update and document business rules on a quarterly basis.
Be well versed in the affiliations data and how HCPs are affiliated to specific accounts as well as the process to maintain/update affiliations.
Organizational Context:
Reports to Associate Director, Data Enablement.
This position requires close collaboration with internal cross functional departments within Sales and Marketing Operations and Analytics. Needs to be able to identify and fulfill data and reporting needs across the organization.

Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience in Analytics, Computer Science, Data Management, Reporting or business management experience in US Pharma commercial operations
Minimum 7 years’ experience within the pharmaceutical industry in commercial domain or healthcare related industry.
Minimum 5 years of data management experience that includes data operations, quality and reporting within the pharmaceutical or healthcare related industry.
Team oriented with ability to work independently in a dynamic fast-paced environment, with minimal supervision.
Proficient with BI tools like QlikView, QlikSense etc. and productivity tools like Excel, and PowerPoint etc.
Ability to write simple to complex SQL queries to retrieve and analyze data directly from the data systems. Good understanding of Data Warehouse principles and working knowledge of database systems like AWS Redshift, Oracle, SQL etc.
Outstanding data analysis skills, including independent fact finding and ability to communicate outcomes and make recommendations based on findings
Working knowledge of data sources, e.g., IQVIA – Xponent, NPA, DDD OneKey etc., Symphony Health – Source prescriber, source non-retail etc., MMIT/DRG – formulary and payer backbone.
Working knowledge of specialty pharmacy/GPO redistribution, EDI 867, 852 etc. data, managed through internal or external data aggregators.
Ability to examine issues and problems in a new way and apply creativity and ingenuity to company strategic objectives to develop alternative solutions.
Excellent organizational, planning, and project management skills with a strong attention to detail and ability to effectively manage cross-functional projects.
Demonstrated ability to take initiative to proactively evaluate existing strategies and recommend changes, when appropriate.
Preferred:
Experience developing or managing complex data warehouse and reporting solutions for US pharma commercial use cases
Experience with AWS technologies for data management
Development and management skills in BI tools preferably QlikSense
Deep understanding of mastering entities like HCPs, HCOs, Products etc.
Experience supporting data for commercial functions like Incentive Compensation, Sales and Marketing analytics, Contracts and Pricing, Trade and Channel Operations etc.
