Purpose & Scope:

The Senior Manager Americas Purchase To Pay (PTP) Supervisor will be accountable for the end-to-end service delivery to internal and external customers and will act as a key resource and problem resolution contact. This position will also contribute to strategy and evolution of Global Business Systems by developing and maintaining a monitoring system to ensure effective and high-quality processing for PTP and ensure the overall service delivery expectations are met.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Define both quantitative and qualitative Metrics and key performance indicators for Americas PTP service delivery and report out on those Metrics to the business partners.

  • Promote and ensure a collaborative relationship with the Country Finance Leads. Be responsive to requests per the service level agreements (SLA) ensuring compliance with standard processes and internal controls.

  • Chair meetings as required to facilitate process improvement or issue resolution requiring a broader cross functional group and present at Senior Management meetings.

  • Represent the PTP Team and the wider service delivery team as Subject Matter Authority and for Accounts Payable and Travel and Expenses processing and conduct trainings as required.

  • Develop annual operating plan/budgets for the service line and understanding actual figures against budget, including explaining deviations.

  • Lead the overall performance of the Service Line Team including overseeing the communications with the team and key stakeholders.

  • Support PTP Operational governance committee.

  • Find opportunities to improve customer service and collaborate with Process Owners and continuous improvement leads to prioritize and implement projects.

  • Accountable for ensuring Americas PTP and T&E operations maintain compliance with JSOX and Internal Audit.

Organizational Context:

This role reports into the Senior Director, PTP Global Process Owner.

Provides direct oversight to 4 PTP Analysts and indirect oversight to at least 20 BPO resources.

Qualifications: Required

  • University degree in Accounting, Finance or related field, or equivalent qualification

  • 10+ years' experience in PTP and T&E including managerial positions of increasing responsibilities in an international finance team

  • Experienced, credible leader, demonstrable ability to manage and inspire a team

  • Must be IT literate, and familiar with Financial Systems

  • Leadership experience within an outsourced or shared services PTP function with understanding of diverse language skills and knowledge of local requirements

  • Thorough understanding of accounting controls, with deep experience in Procurement, A/P, invoice processing, payments and disbursement

  • Significant experience using ERP systems like SAP S/4 and Procurement & A/P systems and interfaces such as Ariba and Concur

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to work with all levels of management and vendors

Qualifications: Preferred

  • Healthcare/pharma industry background preferred
