Purpose and Scope:
The Senior Manager, Access to Health, Sustainability is responsible for advancing Access to Health / Access to Medicines efforts including intake of requests, creating, and managing databases and working with global, cross-functional teams. This position works in close collaboration with members of the global Sustainability division, as appropriate, to ensure divisional alignment and transparency of efforts.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
First point of contact to manage philanthropic Product Donations and voluntary licensing requests compliantly, in alignment with relevant SOPs, in partnership with other members of the Access to Health Group.
Create and maintain Access to Health metrics database (Global, company-wide data) and is subsequently responsible for collecting and tracking detailed metrics related to Access to Health/Medicines, preparing and sharing quarterly updates for top management and internal and external stakeholders, to measure progress and success in achieving Access to Health Sustainability goals.
Lead for creating and updating Access to Health/Medicines policies, procedures, and relevant training documents in alignment with relevant functions.
Serves as project manager for the Access to Medicines Operational Oversight Committee, with responsibilities for preparing meeting materials, scheduling meetings, taking detailed meeting minutes and follow-ups.
Handles multiple priorities at once, establishing and maintaining effective and efficient channels of communication with internal audiences and non-profit/non-governmental/inter-governmental community organizations.
Proven ability to take initiative and the understanding of when to elevate specific items or issues
Partners with members of the Access to Health and Sustainability teams to manage the implementation of initiatives that expresses the Access to Health strategy locally and globally
Quantitative Dimensions:
This person will research, recommend, and track progress toward societal impact KPIs and make recommendations for achieving targets
Support access to health sustainability advocacy through collection and tracking of access to health metrics and sharing broadly for use in various Astellas communications

Qualifications :
Required
BS or BA Degree of equivalent in Sustainability/Corporate Responsibility, Communications or related field is required
Requires a minimum of 6 years corporate experience
Experience with Corporate Sustainability reporting and programs that impact both corporate reputation and community
Strong communication abilities including presentation, verbal, and written skills
Self-starter with proven ability to manage multiple priorities at once
Preferred
Understanding of an experience in the pharmaceutical industry
5 years’ experience with product donations or gift-in-kind program management
Candidate should be flexible and adaptable in a rapidly changing dynamic, matrixed organization
