Purpose and Scope:
Responsible for analytics associated with the 340B program for Astellas product(s). Build processing model, develop guidelines for reporting/analysis, collaborate with policy and government affairs to monitor contract performance & impact of government policy changes to the Astellas product portfolio. This entails creating, monitoring, and auditing contract databases as well as analyzing program performance and compliance. It requires a high level of analytical skill, detail orientation, and financial analysis. Highly motivated self-starter with effective interpersonal skills required to work through complexities with both internal teams (Policy and Government Affairs, MACC account managers, Legal, and Compliance) and external customers. Position requires effective leadership and presentation skills.
Essential Job Responsibilities
Collaborate with the Policy and Government Affairs team to learn and understand current and potential changes to government policy affecting the Astellas product portfolio.
Author proposal development in collaboration with other MACC functional areas. Obtain appropriate signoffs from Strategic Pricing Committee.
Taking the lead for assigned initiatives, the Sr. Manager will review, edit and propose contract language and amendments pertaining to data collection and measurement of key performance indicators (in collaboration with the account management team) with Astellas vendors and customers to minimize unfavorable business terms and risk to the company. Proactively collaborates with Legal to ensure timely review of proposed changes in contract language.
Lead the analytical, impact analysis, and modeling processes for current and proposed government policies as it relates to Astellas products.
Business champion for technology platforms related to 340B data and reporting. Interacts with Astellas teams to understand current and future needs of data reporting.
Partner with stakeholders and Information Systems to implement and automate models into day-to-day business decision making
Monitor 340B and government policy changes and performance to all established key performance standards and report standings to the leadership team on a monthly basis.
Comprehend all available data sources, provide governance and standardization, and ensure best practice
Create and distribute assigned dashboards.
Manage 340B contract data and reporting requirements to ensure data reporting adheres to contract terms and conditions
Prepare and deliver presentations to Sr. leadership using detailed analysis and summarizing information into a concise presentation.
Additional duties as needed
Manages and oversees all distribution data fees and data reporting
Point of contact for PGA and MACC Strategy as it relates to 340B and government policy
Serves as a support resource overseeing all key processes, procedures, and key strategic initiatives related to emerging health care trends.
Reports directly to Associate Director, Oncology Contracting & Analytics.
Cross-functional leadership interaction across all areas of Astellas
Individual contributor with significant experience in leading both internal and external departments
College degree in a business discipline with an MBA preferred
Minimum of 5-10 years prior experience in government pricing programs and operations, specifically PHS/340B
Prior experience in contract analysis, financial modeling, planning & analysis
Ability to analyze/interpret contract language, and government policies and identify the corresponding impact to the company
Advanced MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills; Qlikview is desirable
Excellent interpersonal skills, customer service commitment, attention to detail, ability to interact across all levels of management
Ability to work in: fast-paced, cross-functional teams; make presentations & recommendations to senior management and leadership teams.
