Astellas is announcing a Senior Analyst, Global Business & Marketing Analytics opportunity.
Purpose & Scope of Position:
The Senior Analyst, AIA Business & Market Analytics is responsible for participating in consulting with regional and global clients and utilizing real world analytics to address business opportunities. They will support the design and execution of advanced analytic studies and in collaboration with external partners.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
Provide actionable insights to regional stakeholders
Participates in cross functional team environments and responsible for supporting the design, execution and delivery of analytics projects with minimal supervision. Provides updates and advocacy to business stakeholders
Stays current on AIA data sources and implements best practices in analytics projects in order to meet customer needs
Conducts statistical analyses and uses machine learning to estimate and to better understand Astellas' markets and products of interest and participates in the presentation of the results to business customers
Collaborates with other regions to implement best practices
Maintains technical expertise on AIA systems and works with regional users to implement organizational efficiencies and increase AIA skills
Conducts work based on the needs of region, participates in the collection of business requests to be used in development of analysis plans, ability to identify and escalate obstacles/problems while working on analysis as they arise and implement solutions
Reduce outsourcing of AIA projects and increase regional efficiency
Identify new applications of existing data.
Reports to Director, AIA Business and Market Analytics
This position requires close collaboration with Marketing, Sales, and other organizational leaders.
Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Public Health, Analytics, Data Science, Economics or other quantitative discipline
Minimum of 1- years statistical analysis and design experience, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry.
Possess strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively interact with all levels of employees including senior management.
Experience and good understanding of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and SQL
Familiarity and understanding of coding language (e.g. SAS, R, or Python)
Working knowledge of Real-World datasets within the United States (Optum, Humedica, IMS Health, Symphony, Truven, GEHealth, and others)
Experience with and good understanding of the design and application of statistical analyses.
Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills, attention to details, and the ability to multi-task.
Excellent organizational, planning and project management skills and ability to effectively manage cross-functional projects.
Ability to work independently in a dynamic fast paced environment, with minimal supervision
MS or PhD in Statistics, Public Health, Analytics, Data Science, Economics or other quantitative discipline is preferred or MBA with Marketing Analytics/Decision Science Concentration
Working experience with market structure, patient flows, segmentation, adherence, and other applications are highly preferred.
Knowledge of the global real-world data landscape and different access models and partnerships trends
