Purpose:
The SBM Precision Medicine Lead (Strategic Brand Marketing - SBM) will be responsible for driving the implementation of commercial Precision Medicine programs supporting Astellas’ targeted therapies platform.
This position will report directly into the Head, SBM Precision Medicine (Strategic Brand Marketing - SBM) and will work in close partnership with cross-functional partners including Medical & Development (M&D), CDx Partners, Global Marketing, Affiliate Marketing, Regulatory, Market Access and other functions to facilitate successful diagnostic launches.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
Providing commercial leadership, support and expertise to Diagnostic Development Teams, Global Brand Teams, Regional & Local Marketing Organizations.
Drive the implementation of the diagnostic strategy through a robust marketing plan and support operationalization at the affiliate level
Act as an SME supporting affiliate marketing and medical teams with their launch planning
Engage with Affiliate teams (Marketing, and Medical) to customize strategy and tactics to fit the needs of the market
Drive internal education around precision medicine landscape, benchmarking and contribute to developing internal capabilities as part of the Global Precision Medicine Ecosystem program
Lead commercial evaluation of companion diagnostics platforms, actively seek new products/technologies, effectively partner and foster key collaboration with appropriate industry, academics, and government partners
Support and lead agency relationships, workflow, and related expense budgets
Working closely with global insights, define precision medicine KPIs, scorecards and analyze performance of programs on an ongoing basis
Manage multiple affiliate internal processes, timelines and priorities.
Ensure adherence to Astellas policies relating to Ethics and Compliance standards and interactions with Healthcare Professionals (HCPs), Healthcare Organizations (HCOs) and Patient Organizations (POs).
Qualifications:
Required:
Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Molecular Biology or other scientific discipline
Prior Diagnostic / Medical Device / Pharma marketing experience within Oncology
Diagnostic launch experience
Technical understanding of diagnostic technologies
7+ years’ experience in pharmaceutical and/or healthcare industry
Strategic thinking skills to create a robust business case, analyze commercial and business information and devise strategy.
Willingness to travel 10-15% of the time
Preferred:
- Advanced degree (Ph.D in Life Science, MBA, Medical, or Pharmacy)
