Purpose & Scope of Position:
The Manager, Rx+ External Capabilities & Legal Operations contributes to the promotion of research and new business activities at various stages Rx+, based on 2 major important roles:
1) Legal Operations
2) Outsourcing Management, with expertise.
Under the support from head and senior members in the group, this position needs to have collaboration network and external capabilities, as necessary, and utilize them to lead the assigned tasks that should promote the theme or project efficiently.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for progressing the tasks in assigned business area. The items listed below are the major examples and actual assignment is subject to be changed by head depending on the priority and the progress in the maturity of these deliverables.
Outsourcing Management
Manage to promote research activities efficiently and effectively, using external capabilities such as working with Contract Research Organizations, Consultants, Academia, Key Opinion Leader, and so on
Legal Operations
Design and operate an efficient and simple operation for legal needs in response to needs for agreements and vendor management
Operate to promote the assigned areas and tasks with expertise based on thorough understanding of principles, concepts, and client's intentions.
Handle the matters that require discussion, negotiation, and coordination inside and outside the division, including working as the main point of contact for the internal legal team with the support of the supervisor.
Handle the determined solution based on each case and environmental changes at own discretion. At an event of an unexpectedly large issue, solve the problem with the support of the supervisor.
Organizational Context
This position reports on solid-line basis to Rx+ Executive Director, Head of New Business Opportunities.
This position communicates with Rx+ LTs, BPs, and leaders of relevant internal stakeholders’ functions.
This position collaborates with colleagues in Rx+ BA and in relevant internal stakeholders
Qualifications:
Required
Must have a Bachelors Degree
Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a regulatory area (e.g. compliance, finance, quality) within the life sciences industry.
Significant program and project management expertise.
Strong expertise in compliance with law, regulations, and industry codes relevant to a highly regulated industry. Knowledge of best practices relating to compliance in highly regulated industries.
Experience working globally
Preferred
- Experience in non-clinical research work
