Purpose:
The Manager, Payer Analytics ensures consistency of strategic shared data and information to improve data quality, accessibility and security of master data within the Market Access & Commercial Capabilities organization.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
Partner with cross functional business units to understand their vision and business needs and align payer master data solutions accordingly
Contribute to the creation, maintenance and enforcement of master data management policies, processes, and procedures.
Provide backend support identifying pain points within using Payer Data, identify solutions for those pain points, and work to prioritize those solutions
Produce data simulations to support changes in Payer Mastering or the way the Payer data is loaded
Manage payer data flow of end-to-end ETL process
Provide business insights and improvement recommendations
Manage critical data elements. Ensure consensus in identifying data elements associated with common business terminology, researching sources, definitions, and managing them within the master repository as the enterprise source of record.
Publish relevant data to appropriate users in the organization, and monitor the published data sources for usage, relevance, and quality.
Create and manage business metadata for published data sources to ensure that it is easily discoverable, and meaningful to data users.
Maintain the integrity, quality, and completeness of payer master data with responsibility for collecting, evaluating, and appropriately resolving issues and problems with data; prioritize and communicate issues to impacted individuals.
Collaborate with Information Systems (IS) team to ensure data/data elements are appropriately utilized in procedures and systems.
Be an active advocate of data management. Endorse good data management practices, use them, and share them.

Quantitative Dimensions:
Management of function within approved operating budget.
Quality, accuracy, timeliness, accessibility, and security of master data within the commercial organization based in part on feedback from key customers and cross-functional colleagues.
Ability to meet/exceed established key milestones related to assigned major projects.

Organizational Context:
Reports to Associate Director, Master Data Management.
This position requires extensive cross-functional collaboration within Data Enablement and Commercial Operations, as well as with colleagues in Finance, Health Systems, Strategic Business Planning, Commercial Technology, and IS.
Qualifications:
Required:
Data-centric mindset and a passion for pursuing data excellence
Expertise in Master Data Management concepts, components, processes, and environments.
Bachelor’s degree in Business or Information Systems related field.
Minimum 7 years pharmaceutical or related business experience.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively interact with all levels of employees including senior management.
Ability to understand data-related topics, architectures, processes, and systems and effectively communicate these topics to technical and non-technical audiences at all levels of seniority.
Strong technical skills in QlikView and SQL.
Experience in pharmaceutical reimbursement / market access strategy, including strong competency in health technology assessment and healthcare analytics
Experience Testing and QC for various data elements, both internal consistency and consistency among disparate reports.
Experience working in a group environment supporting multiple teams in a data validation/analysis role
Demonstrated ability in taking initiative to proactively evaluate existing strategies and recommend changes, when appropriate
Ability to work cross functionally with IS and translate business needs in order to prioritize and deploy enhancements to the payer data.
Ability to examine issues and problems in a new way and apply creativity and ingenuity to company strategic objectives to develop alternative solutions.
Excellent organizational, planning, and cross-functional project management, written and verbal communication.
Proven problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail, personal initiative and ability to work independently in a dynamic fast paced environment, with minimal supervision.
Ability to proactively evaluate existing strategies and recommend changes, when appropriate.
Preferred:
Background in Data Warehouse Architecture, Business Intelligence and/or ETL.
Experience with Data Quality tool sets such as Collibra
