Purpose & Scope:
Advanced Informatics & Analytics (AIA) Informatics & Data Operations is responsible for managing Real World Data (RWD) data sources, standards, operations, controls and training. This role will ensure dependable operational loading of data and the automation of data quality processes. This individual will work collaboratively with all AIA colleagues and global functions to understand the RWD needs and keep them informed about the latest updates regarding AIA data assets and will be working directly with vendors to ensure the quality and timeliness of deliverables. Success in this role requires staying current with the latest sources, technologies, standards, security and privacy policies and business applications in real-world informatics.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
Responsible for data operations on cloud-based architecture. Activities include, monitoring the data loads, ensuring the data quality, automation of the loads and continuous improvement of the ETL processes.
Collaborate with internal and external teams for data curation, cataloging and management.
Serve as a primary point of contact for production support related to data operations and data quality.
Ensure the operations schedule and knowledge base is maintained and communicated to end users.
Assist in enforcing data governance and information management policies, SOPs and standards to manage patient data in a secure and compliant manner.
Provide input for best practices in data management and data operations.
Assist in training end users on data sources and operations related topics.8. Collaborate with AIA Business Governance & Quality Process (BGQP) team, participate and implement active monitoring and auditing capabilities.
Support implementation and adherence of security requirements, metadata standards, data quality and testing procedures for the environment.
Liaise with project partners on an ongoing basis; set, communicate and continually manage expectations regarding data operations with team members and other partners.
Work closely with analytics teams to gather functional and technical requirements.
Continually learn new tools and techniques to support data engineering and operations.
Bachelor of Science or Master of Science degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Healthcare Informatics or another related field
3-4 years relevant experience in IT at a healthcare data analytics company, or similar role in pharma or related healthcare.
Life Sciences and healthcare experience, working knowledge of real-world patient level data, especially pertaining to pseudonymized datasets.
Understanding of the real-world data landscape, advanced analytics and different access models and partnerships trends.
Excellent written and verbal skills required, with ability to interact with all levels of the organization and be able to translate between technical and business management to effectively achieve results.
Attention to detail, effective problem solver, assertive decision maker, facilitator and communicator.
Knowledge of compliance, privacy and safety pertinent to real-world data Ability to adapt and respond effectively to change, delay and or shifting priorities and goals.
Self-directed with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and to aggressively drive project deliverables to successful completion.
Experience managing internal and external vendors and other sources to ensure the timeliness of deliverables and drive operational excellence.
Good understanding and experience with software development life-cycle process.
Prior experience with AWS stack (Redshift, Glue, EMR etc.), ETL Tool (such as Talend) and Core Java technologies.
Experience with native SQL and statistical programming languages such as R, Python or similar.
Experience in handling large and/or complex datasets in RDBMS.
Problem resolution skills to help analysts in building and optimizing programs as needed
Knowledge of BI tools and visualization packages.
Hands-on development experience with unstructured data and ETL tools Informatica or Matillion.
Familiarity of broader RWD applications across healthcare.
Experience in understanding complex source system data structures -- pharmaceutical specific preferred.
Experience with Real World Evidence (RWE) applications like cohort builders, treatment pathways and population characteristics.
Cross-cultural project management and communication experience.
Experience in designing ML technologies to automate statistical models
