The Field Management CoE Head will be responsible to ensure:

  • Enhanced Customer Engagement with co-developed field competencies framework

  • Best-in-Class Customer Facing functional, mindset & leadership Capabilities aligned with updated role for the hybrid model

  • Deliver meaningful interactions and contribute to optimal and differentiated Customer Experience (VoC)

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  1. Ensures that processes and standards are in place to perform continuous structured Field capabilities assessment and to compare them with industry best practices

  2. Identifies and prioritizes areas of improvement to drive differentiation, overperform and consistently enhance customer experience

  3. Develops improvement plan, tools and processes for constant agile adoption of new best practices and capabilities to deliver high-quality results and competitive advantages

  4. Ensures field capabilities are clearly linked with expected results and aligned with long-term business strategy

  5. Establishes and maintains the highest standards of excellence in customer-facing interactions and develops a common Customer excellence framework and language

  6. Identifies SFE training needs and competencies and delivers the right processes, technologies and capabilities to enable the new customer interaction model, as well as delivering necessary trainings as per planned

  7. Identifies and delivers best-in-class PST processes, technologies and capabilities to enable delivering the right messages to the right customers at the right time

  8. Identifies capabilities gaps and builds capabilities to discover the needs and preferences of customers across their omnichannel journeys. Builds the field capabilities which will improve those individual touchpoints that will support the delivery of an end-to-end omnichannel experience

  9. Establish upskilling processes, Customer Excellence best practices and advisory services for field facing capabilities

  10. Create Global Field Exc. community and academy, as well as CoE Hub creation

  11. Combines building Field capabilities with structured and aligned processes for Performance management

Quantitative Dimensions:

Responsible for developing and articulating the required plan and investments for Field Mgmt. CoE strategy, processes and activities to:

  • Deliver the right processes, technologies and capabilities to support best-in-class field-facing teams interactions, supporting customer centric approach

  • Ensure KPIs and metrics placed support business reaching specific targets

  • Ensure KPIs placed to improved customer interactions and customer-facing capabilities are met

Organizational Context:

  • Reports into the Commercial Capabilities, L&D GCA Lead

  • Collaborates with other Commercial Capabilities, Learning & Development Focus Areas -- MEx and LEx, Learning Technologies, Customer Experience, TA/Product and In-Market training, as well as Sales, Marketing, IT, Compliance, Human Resources, and other functions across the organization when necessary.

  • The Field Mgmt. CoE Lead is managing a team of 4 (four) direct reports



  • Bachelors Degree

  • At least 10 years industry experience, preferably within the pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, or biotechnology industries

  • In-depth knowledge in both traditional and omnichannel commercial engagement models

  • In-depth knowledge in SFE topics including territory design resource allocations and segmentation analysis

  • Strong ability to work effectively and collaboratively across a global organization

  • Proven decision-making and strategic thinking skills leading to successful outcomes

  • Experience aligning strategy and operations activities across functions

  • Outstanding interpersonal, oral, and written communication and presentation skills

  • Strategic thinking, creativity, and capacity to assist others in developing ideas and business opportunities

  • Strong business acumen: project management, vendor management, and budget management capabilities


  • MBA, Masters Degree, MS in Science or other Advance Degree

  • Multidisciplinary project management experience within pharmaceutical industry
