Astellas is announcing an Executive Director, HRBP Lead opportunity in Northbrook, IL .

Purpose and Scope:

The HR Strategic Partner / Account Lead is a trusted global strategic thought leader who partners with our CXO division heads and most senior leaders. Covering many product, therapeutic, specialty, development and geographic areas, in multiple languages to design, achieve, lead mid to long term strategic business outcomes through superior business and human capital workforce planning, including creation of vision, talent and change management.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for design of our global HR strategy and translating to each function geography and partnering globally with wider HR for successful implementation. Working with all teams to provide thought leadership around strategic imperatives and performance to respective business areas

  • Co-creation with division heads on developing strategic direction for the market or function by bringing outside-in perspective with an enterprise-wide mindset

  • Accountable for collaborating with COEs to ensure policies and frameworks align with organizational strategy and market or function requirements utilizing business acumen and market or functional complexity knowledge

  • Accountable for designing strategic workforce planning initiatives across the market or function, ensuring sufficient pipeline strength and diversity to meet future business needs, that deliver a ROI

  • Accountable for growing capabilities by developing initiatives and plans to increase collaboration, workforce engagement, leadership effectiveness and workforce productivity across own team and the broader Astellas employee base

  • Accountable for championing a future focused approach by thinking strategically and anticipating new opportunities, as well as understanding external market trends to drive successful organizational transformation aligned with the Astellas Corporate Strategic Plan (CSP).

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Extensive experience in a combination of HR or senior business management roles

  • HR professional qualification / HR Master’s Degree

  • Requisite experience to demonstrate advanced level knowledge of:

  • The 4 Astellas HR Core Competencies and 4 Astellas HRBP Sub-Divisional Competencies

  • Proven Global experience business and HR

  • Proven experience of high-level strategic thinker and adaptation into tangible results
