Purpose & Scope:

The Regional Operational Marketing Director is the member of the Strategic Brand Marketing, driving execution of above-affiliate tactics and localization of strategy ensuring continuous growth of priority products.

Core Tasks, Responsibilities and Authority:

Non-Medical Final Signatory: This role is a Non-Medical Final Signatory. The incumbent is required, subject to qualifying training, to sign the separate document entitled "APEL Key Accountabilities" for Non-Medical Final Signatory. It outlines detailed responsibilities for a Non-Medical Final Signatory.

  1. Compliance:
  • Embed Compliance Culture across all Regions of the business ensuring Integrity in Action is actively applied in all initiatives.

  • Ensure Marketing Function strictly adopt a culture of ethics and compliance; leading by example and appropriately challenging non-compliance.

  • Ensure adherence to Astellas policies relating to Ethics and Compliance standards and interactions with Healthcare Professionals (HCPs), Healthcare Organizations (HCOs) and Patient Organizations (POs).

  1. Job Responsibilities:
  • Under the leadership of Operational Marketing Lead or Brand Lead, lead cross-functional co-creation with affiliates of the 1-year operational plan, making recommendations around investment & divestment opportunities and ensuring seamless transition of assets and launch-performance excellence, aligning brand planning and priorities, and increasing collaboration and opportunities for the regional business.

  • Lead the co-creation of regional multi-channel materials/programs with the Affiliates and Digital Channel Experts, delegating as needed to the Brand Managers.

  • Act as a key brand expert, driving regional brand tactics implementation throughout the region, ensuring adherence to the operational brand plan and global brand strategy, maximizing market share and revenue growth across the region, using the wide and full range of channels needed.

  • Manage the relationship with Key regional experts to develop insights and services through effective engagement with key stakeholders in close collaboration with medical.

  • Work closely with the Global Capability Area teams, and country brand managers to generate deep customer insights that are patient-focused and reflected in the developed brand plans. Prepare status updates of regional tactics for the CCT meetings under the leadership of the Brand Lead.

  • Role model implementation of the new Marketing operating model, driving horizontal/vertical/virtual collaboration, sharing best practice across the business to sustainably grow functional effectiveness, ensuring strong linkage with the CCT team and countries.

  • Work collaboratively with country Brand Managers to develop recommendations for brand budget allocation.

  • Partner with the Omni-Channel Operations team to build and deploy an effective digital engagement strategy for the brand that is fit-for-purpose across all affiliates.

  • Work collaboratively with medical and other key stakeholders to co-create the Patient Advocacy and Communication plans as per brand strategy.

  • Prepare status updates of regional tactics for the CCT meetings under the leadership of the Brand Lead.

  • Coordinate with affiliate-level operational plans, conduct operational reviews highlighting potential deviations from the global strategy.

  • Operational Marketing director will interact with Affiliate Brand teams and global brand managers.

  • Other such duties as may be reasonably required by the business.
