The Director, Media Strategy and Operations Lead is responsible for the strategic media capability roadmap and is accountable to ensuring the consistent evolution of media capabilities to drive efficiency and effectiveness. This role will oversee the media operations team who manage Astellas AdTech and partner closely with organizational MarTech platforms in a broader organizational effort to deliver increased effectiveness of resources deployed.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
Lead the development and execution of Astella’s US strategic media roadmap including media innovation, agency/partner evolution and AdTech platforms.
Own the strategic roadmap of Astellas’ media evolution and ensure the year over year goals of the program are met
Drive AdTech and related platforming to ensure integration of paid media channels with Astellas owned channels to deliver a true omnichannel experience for our customers
Provide oversight and strategic direction to media operations team ensuring Astellas is driving the “effective balance” operating model as designed and driving amendments to the model as required to deliver best-in-class experiences for our customers
Partner with Brand and Procurement to drive Astellas’ strategic relationships with Media agencies to develop future-focused capabilities, improve campaign results and drive agency performance in paid media channels
Reports to Executive Director, Omni-channel Engagement & Strategic Planning
Peer group: US-C Brand Managers, Content Operations Team, Content Factory Production Team
Significant media strategy and operations, and/or brand marketing experience ideally including digital strategy, digital and omnichannel marketing
Fluency in all Media Channels (e.g., TV, Digital, Social, Point of Care, etc.)
Experience with Advertising Technologies (e.g., DSP, DMP, etc.) and integrations with MarTech platforms (CDPs, Campaign Engines, Tagging, etc.)
