Purpose & Scope:
The Associate US Revenue Operations is responsible for the administration of Astellas managed care agreements with Managed Care Organizations ("MCOs"). Validation and timely payment of managed care rebates to MCOs. This is vital to supporting the goal of ensuring profitable formulary access for Astellas products.
The incumbent will need to use the Model N Revenue management system to administer rebate payments according to the contract terms and conditions and provide timely reporting of contract performance. This role also entails strong Excel usage, Model N, the reviewing of the rebate packets, coordination of rebates, and other tasks the job presents.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
Analyze and implement new and renewed Managed Care contracts in Model N system ensuring contract set-up supports the discounts defined in the agreement and government pricing obligations
Upon receipt of utilization data from MCOs, uses Validata to perform scrubbing/validation on rebate claims data. Outlier claims are disputed and reconciled with the MCO.
Using the Model N system, analyzes and processes all rebate invoices received from MCOs. Remits payments within time frame accorded by each contract to avoid possible financial penalties or interest payments. The incumbent will secure necessary approvals according the company's Delegation of Authority Maintains tracking system to monitor rebate payment process.
Performs ad-hoc analysis of PBMs and Health Plan performance as needed.
Works with Associate Manager, US Revenue Operations to flag material variances versus historical rebates so that accruals can be timely adjusted and any impact on Gross-to-Net is reported.
Maintains all documentation necessary to be in compliance with internal controls and J-Sox requirements.
This position is an Individual contributor role and reports directly to the Associate Manager, US Revenue Operations.
MS Excel and Word skills
Problem solving and attention to details and organization skills are a necessity
Strong analytical, verbal and written communication skills are required
Must be detail-orientated with a high degree of accuracy.
2+ years' experience in pharmaceutical/healthcare rebate or contracts administration preferred
Prior hands on knowledge and experience with Model N revenue management system is a plus
