Purpose:
In partnership with Senior Director or Director, build programs and recommend strategies to support priority global and CD brand objectives, ensuring awareness and understanding of the value of products delivered to patients among target external and internal audiences.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
Product communications subject matter expert, responsible for delivery of product/franchise news/communications internally and externally by developing strategies and executing programming that drive product understanding and differentiation in specific therapeutic areas.
Co-manages engagement and support for maximum uptake of communications across geographies.
Prepares for potential issues with comprehensive issues management communications plans, drafting standby materials and recommendations to mitigate crises
Leverages, engages, cultivates, and manages strong media relationships to seek and secure media coverage proactively and serving as a spokesperson to help promote the business
Collaborates with and provides counsel to internal business partners, including global brand team members on effective ways to communicate product key messages to external audiences.
Builds and maintains strong working relationships within One Commercial team, M&D and Corporate Communications teams.
Ensures all programming is compliant with legal, compliance, regulatory and finance policies.
Works with various public relations firms and other external service providers, and ensures the most efficient and economical utilization of these services.

Qualifications:
Required:
BS Degree or equivalent in journalism, communications or related field is required
Requires a minimum of 8+ years of progressively increasing corporate communications or public relations experience
Able to maintain effective, current and relevant communication plans
Strong experience in the pharmaceutical industry
Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
Experience building strong working relationships across organizations
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
