This position is based in Northbrook, Illinois, however remote work from certain states may be permitted in accordance with Astellas' Responsible Flexibility Guidelines. Candidates interested in remote work are encouraged to apply.

Purpose & Scope:

The Associate Director, Digital Marketing Excellence is a core member of the Marketing CoE in the CLD GCA responsible to support setting up and training Astellas capabilities in new channels (Self-directed learning, Social media, Voice) and enhancing customer experience in the digital space. The scope of this work covers the entire Astellas portfolio.

Essential Job Responsibilities :

  • Support the development Astellas digital capabilities strategy defining both long and short term visions and roadmaps for projects

  • Understands strategic needs of the business, and is able to translate need into potential new use cases

  • Builds deep understanding of the product/functional area (e.g., Operations, Marketing) that the business partner is aligned with

  • Knows the status of all use cases and ensures all feedback is gathered and addressed

  • Support setting up and training Astellas capabilities within new channels (Self-directed learning, Social media, Voice)

  • Provide guidance and content on knowledge on how Astellas can leverage new channels

  • Develop marketing capabilities frameworks that can be leveraged by the affiliates

  • Liaising with digital health initiatives (e.g. Rx+ business) and new CODI

  • Support the development of end-to-end user experience in global projects

  • Support the development of capabilities, connected to research, identification of customer needs in term of journey and experience that can be leveraged into projects

  • Collaborate esp. with front end developers or other external resources to problem solve design challenges, maintain a level

  • Collaborates closely with Strategic Brand marketing team and OCO GCA

  • Works as a partner by asking the right questions

  • Provides insight to the business partner in terms of what "state of the art" looks like in data and analytics in their area

Organizational Context:

  • Reports to Marketing Capabilities and GCA OpEx Head

  • Peer group: Operational Excellence team, Operational Marketing team, OCO GCA

  • Scope: Support to whole organization

Qualifications:

Required:

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree

Work experience:

  • 5+ years experience within Healthcare and/or pharmaceutical industry with a focus on digital; digital agency experience is a plus;

  • Minimum of (3) years project management experience at Astellas, or 4 years project management in the industry.

  • Experience in leading projects to develop new digital marketing channels, especially social media a plus

  • Multinational-experience a plus

Skills, knowledge:

  • Expert knowledge of digital marketing principles in Social media, as well as knowledge in emerging marketing channels (e.g. Voice) a major plus

  • Efficient and confident communicator who inspires the team and engages senior management on relevant topics in a time efficient manner

  • Team oriented, goals oriented, and flexible with proven track record in collaborating with multiple stakeholders and driving results

Preferred

Digital agency experience is a plus
