Purpose & Scope:
The Business Data Lead, Global PTP (Procure-to-Pay) will navigate data structures across multiple systems and applications such as Ariba, S4, Concur and Success Factors and will keep current with process and technology trends. The individual will set up data governance teams, drive data quality, lead harmonization efforts and establish policies and procedures for PTP data, will provide direction with regards to the effective use of data and technology within the procure-to-pay area. This role will be the 'go-to' person for all global issues/direction related to supplier master data and other PTP data such as Purchasing, Contracts, expense types and invoicing. Will be a data expert in procure-to-pay process areas such as supplier management, procurement, invoicing, contract management, payments and travel and expense.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
Establish and develop the Procure-to-pay data governance team comprising cross functional business and IT experts.
Drive creation and upkeep of data standards, policies and procedures in the area of procure-to-pay.
Define roles and responsibilities related to data governance and ensure clear accountability for stewardship of the company's principal information assets in the area of procure to pay -- Suppliers.
Periodically report to governance councils on state of procure-to-pay master data quality and governance.
Support Ethics and Compliance efforts to ensure supplier data is aligned with transparency reporting requirements.
Establish governance and assist the Procurement team in master data set up related to global spend analytics.
Proven expertise in Vendor Master, Business Partner, Purchase Order, Payment processes, cost objects and HR mini-master to ensure appropriate change management and issue resolution of the data assets.
Drive efforts to streamline data processes and workflows to increase efficiency.
Develops and maintains an onboarding process for newly enrolled data analysts and processors.
- Brings expertise in Ariba, Concur, SAP S4 procure-to-pay functionality to support IT projects by assisting with requirements identification, testing, system functionality approval and training materials.
Develop & maintain inventory of the global enterprise information maps, including systems of record, system owners, data owners and business functions such as Procurement, R&D, Commercial, Treasury, Supply Chain and HR.
The position reports directly to the Senior Director, EDM, GBS.
Pursue self-development and effective relationships with others by sharing resources, information and knowledge with co-workers and various business functions
Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, MIS, Computer Science, or other Technology field.
7-10 years of Ariba, SAP S4 procure-to-pay, SAP MDG or SAP Finance.
7-10 years of consulting experience implementing technology projects or leading procure-to-pay data migration in SAP.
End-to-end knowledge of PTP process (supplier management, contract management, Purchase Orders, invoicing and payments.
Demonstrated strength in project management.
Excellent communication skills including both oral and written.
Experience interacting with executive leadership.
Strong collaboration skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
Strong presentation, spreadsheet and word processing skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced program environment.
Ability to balance work with multiple cultures and multiple time zones.
2-proven experience in Data Governance, Metadata Management or Data Analysis
1-3 years' experience in pharmaceutical industry.
SAP HR and Concur experience.
