Purpose and Scope:
Manages the Hardware Asset Management lifecycle for all hardware assets globally. This role will be responsible for developing and implementing Astellas’ global strategy for maximizing the value of our hardware assets, including overseeing the planning, acquisition, deployment, monitoring, maintenance, and retirement of hardware assets.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive hardware lifecycle management strategy, with the goal of maximizing value, minimizing risk, and minimizing cost.
Hardware Lifecycle Management: Manage the planning, acquisition, deployment, monitoring, maintenance, administration, and disposal of hardware.
Negotiation and Contracting: Negotiate and oversee contracting process for all major hardware purchases.
Compliance and Risk Management: Work with relevant DigitalX teams to ensure hardware meets Astellas’ all guidelines and policies.
Tools and Processes: Own and manage the Hardware Asset Management tools used for managing the hardware lifecycle and reporting.
Software/Hardware Store: Work closely with End User Computing, Software Asset Management, and other DigitalX teams to create and manage a user-friendly internal software/hardware “store” which allows end users to easily obtain standard software/hardware products.
Vendor Management: Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to negotiate contracts, manage relationships, and ensure the delivery of high-quality products and services.
Performance Metrics: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of hardware lifecycle management processes and drive improvements.
Required Qualifications:
Educational Background: Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
8+ years of technology asset management experience, with a strong understanding of industry best practices.
Detailed understanding of IT hardware devices, purchasing arrangements, and contracts.
Strong understanding of hardware standards.
Strong understanding and extensive experience with ServiceNow HAM and HAM Pro, including implementation, configuration, integration, etc.
Demonstrable track record in delivering cost optimization in the hardware asset management space.
